 Description:  The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) undertook a survey of the needs of criminal justice service partners across the State of Illinois in the Fall of 2005. The survey focused on factors impacting the needs of criminal justice agencies, including perceptions about the issues that placed demands on their work, training, information sources, and improvements for more effectively maintaining and increasing public safety. The 2005 survey followed a similar exercise conducted in 1996, while expanding the number of criminal justice agencies that participated. Eight criminal justice groups were included in this survey.
